This project began with a deep dive into understanding the use of space, form, material, and construction through researching a designer of our choosing. After educating ourselves on the primary design principles and context of their work, we were to select one of their chairs to design a museum exhibit for. The museum exhibit needed an entry sequence and circulation, a reception area, a public gathering area, and storage space somewhere within the design. This design would be interpreted through a scaled model which includes two removable walls, a floor plan, and two sections. Decisions such as paths, framed views, natural light, haptic sensibility, and a sequence of events were all considered throughout the design process.
